Surging in South Carolina

Ariel view of Charleston, SC

By the evening of  Tuesday, November 6, 2012 Barack Hussain Obama will know that his dream of a second term as President will be over. A conservative, Republican will assume the Office of President-Elect. Wednesday morning, November 7th the stock market will open and stocks will soar. The experiment into an American socialist system of government will be over. Honor and respect will be returned to our constitution and our way of life and we will sleep better knowing that we will have a President that will not radically transform this nation, but restore it to what our founding fathers had envisioned. I can’t wait for that day!!!

Mitt Romney, Newt Gingrich, Rick Santorum and Ron Paul… that’s it, those are our choices. One moderate, two conservatives and a Libertarian. Who will you choose. Former conservative candidate, Rick Perry suspended his campaign today and publicly endorsed Newt Gingrich. As it stands in the polls now, Mitt and Newt are running neck and neck in South Carolina. Rick and Ron are fighting for 3rd. On Saturday, South Carolina will be poised to pick the conservative alternative to Romney. More than likely Newt will be that conservative choice wether he wins or comes in a close second. I believe Santorum will bow out and publicly endorse Newt, like Perry did. Newt will then be the conservative alternative. Paul will always have 15% of the Republican vote, because Libertarians have no home in a two party system of government (not for now anyway).

So the Race will come down between Romney and Gingrich (Paul will stick around just to be a nuisance).

When I got up this morning at 5AM, as I have started to do recently, I was checking Facebook and found a video of a prominent Atlanta, evangelical pastor, Dr. Michael Youssef endorsing Newt for President of the United States. In the video he made this statement: “Newt Gingrich, like all of us has clay feet, he’s the first one to tell you that. In fact that is why to me as a person who understands the scripture, I highly regard a person who knows how to repent when they sin, than a person who is self-righteous and never acknowledges their sin.” By this statement I felt validated, I was not the only evangelical that could forgive him and support his candidacy for President with unwavering confidence.

Later this morning I went on the radio with Ralph Bristol, a local Nashville radio talk show host, He was arguing that evangelicals would not support someone like Newt, especially with the upcoming interview of his ex-wife on ABC tonight. I enlightened him about Youssef’s endorsement and let him know that as an evangelical I am apart of a faith that believes in repentance and forgiveness. I was not the only one that felt this way about Newt, moreover evangelicals are encouraged and invigorated by his stand and support of Israel. Ralph had no come back, but appreciated my call.

To be honest, his personal life has very little to do with this election and I could honestly care less. I heard it said recently that Jimmy Carter was a moral, Christian person, but was one of our worst Presidents. I care more about a candidates political and constitutional views, that’s what we are electing him for.

So as we look forward to the South Carolina Republican primary, we see a race with stark contrast. Will South Carolina select a moderate, a conservative, or libertarian? We will see. As we move forward in this primary season, let’s make sure we select a candidate that best represents the conservative values that have a record of peace and prosperity. God Bless.

Thoughts on Iowa

What an amazing evening. As many of you may know I came out an endorsed Newt Gingrich for President several weeks ago. I stand by my endorsement. A distant 4th place finish after a week of negative, false ads sucked the life out of the once front running candidate. Like every other candidate that rose to the top, by the backing of tea party and true conservative support, Newt’s support waned as Iowans found fault with their potential Reagan-conservative candidate (Newt). Wether faults founded or unfounded, true conservative candidates: Bachmann, Cain and now Gingrich succumbed t0 the pressures of the left-wing media and the Romney political machine. Here is what happened: Gingrich was attacked by the Romney machine, his poll numbers fell, leaving him in a dismal fourth place in the polls, a strong majority of tea party conservatives dropped Newt. Iowans who were undecided got together with disenfranchised former Newt supporters and found the only conservative candidate left that had not really been given a chance, Rick Santorum. He had spent the most time in Iowa out of any other candidate, visiting all 99 counties and holding countless townhall meetings. With Newt’s poll numbers in the tank and only a week left until the Iowa Caucuses, Rick Santorum’s poll numbers skyrocketed push him to the top of the field. Finally on Tuesday evening, January 3rd Santorum peaked, he came within 8 votes of Massachusetts moderate, Mitt Romney.

This was a stunning political victory for Santorum that will propel his campaign into a possible 2 way race between him Romney, making Santorum the conservative alternative to the “John McCain” of 2012. And isn’t funny that John McCain came out today in support of Romney. Santorum will have huge wind in his sails and contributions will begin to flow in. I will predict that you will see conservatives from Gingrich’s, Perry’s and Bachmann’s campaigns make their way to Santorum and over the next several weeks in South Carolina and Florida we will see this primary come down between Santorum and Romney. If Gingrich put’s forth a positive image and continues to put forth effective solutions, he may make this a three way race, but’s it’s doubtful. For now I will stick Newt, but I was really impressed by Santorum’s victory speech last night… really impressed. Either way I am ready for a viable conservative alternative solution to Romney.

This should be an exciting few weeks as the GOP field shapes into a race for the finish. Click on the link below for Santorum’s “victory” speech:

Special Announcement

After much contemplation I have decided to endorse Newt Gingrich for President of the United States of America. He has proved that not only is he a viable candidate, but his positive message and his strong stand against President Obama has resonated with me and a large part of the country. He is a career politician, however I discern a genuine love of country, belief in American exceptionalism, a friendly view toward Israel and a strong sense of allegiance to the Constitution of the United States. At this pivotal point in our nations history we must have a president that displays those characteristics with unwavering resolve.

It is unique that growing up in Smyrna, Georgia Newt was my congressman in the Georgia 6th Congressional District. I can remember going to the Marietta 4th of July parade and seeing Newt in the parade. I never would have thought that I would one day be supporting him for President.

As you may know in 1994 Newt led the charge for the “Contract with America,” which laid out ten policies that Republicans promised to bring to a vote on the House floor during the first hundred days of the new Congress, if they won the election. The contract was signed by Gingrich and other Republican candidates for the House of Representatives. The contract ranged from issues such as welfare reform, term limits, tougher crime laws, and a balanced budget law, to more specialized legislation such as restrictions on American military participation in United Nations missions. In running for President he has laid out a new contract, the “21st Century Contract with America.” Please when you have a free moment read through this plan.

I am excited to support Mr. Gingrich and even more excited for him to win the nomination and BEAT Barack Hussein Obama and bring the America we know and love back into being. For any questions please email me. Thank you.

Political Fallout

What a wild ride. On May 16th of this year I endorsed Herman Cain for President of the United States. At that point he was around 5% in the polls, nobody knew him and everyone was waiting for Sarah Palin to enter the race. Cain would go on to become the front-runner in the GOP primary gaining around 28% of the poll. I was fortunate enough during that time to join Mr. Cain on his Tennessee Bus Tour seeing thousands of Tennesseans come out in support of his campaign. I am a staunch supporter of his 999 plan and will continue to advocate that plan. It was honor and privilege to serve the campaign and would do it again in a heart beat.

Today Herman Cain suspended his campaign. I believe he made the right decision. Over the last month or so I have been frustrated with him. As the issue of foreign policy and national security began taking center stage, I sensed Cain had not done his homework. I knew when I chose to endorse Cain that he had no experience in this area, however I fully expected him to learn and become knowledgable about critical foreign policy issues. Cain makes the point that he will “surround him self with good people,” thats great and all, but I believe that it is critical that he comes to the table with an educated opinion from which to start the decision making process. All that being said I began researching other candidates.

The sexual allegations leveled against Herman Cain had no bearing on my decision to begin looking at other candidates. I personally believe he is innocent of those allegations and was wrongfully accused. Unfortunately it created a fog of doubt which became thicker and thicker with each new false allegation. With a weak understanding of foreign policy and a developing fog of doubt around his credibility, Herman made the hard, but right decision.

I was excited to support a non-politician in this election having first taken an interest in Donald Trump and then Herman Cain. The problem is we dont have a viable enough non-politician candidate to be able to do this. Now that we no longer have an option of a non-politician I will be forced to choose between the remaining candidates.

This election is the most critical election in modern times. Europe is on the edge financial collapse, growing danger and uncertainty in the middle east, growing pressure against Israel, China, a domestic economy that is in the toilet, a growing, oppressive federal government and a divergence away from our founding documents. This administration is following through on a campaign promise to “fundamentally change America.” Therefore we MUST select a candidate that will, without question defeat Obama and end a 4 year socialist experiment.

Next week I will announce my new endorsement. Thank you for taking the time to read my thoughts. Please email me if you have any further questions.

Tennessee Bus Tour

What an adventure. This past weekend I and several other folks traveled across the state of Tennessee with Mr. Herman Cain. The response was mind blowing. To bring everyone up to speed, I am the Marketing Director for Tennessee for Herman Cain, the state organization of the national campaign. We began planning this bus tour in early September, before Herman Cain surged in the polls. We were hoping to get a couple hundred folks at each of the six events we were planning. When all was said and done and Mr. Cain had traveled and spoke to each event we had a combined crowd total of over 15,o00 people. One word, AMAZING. I am reminded by a verse in Psalms that says “The Lord has done this and it is marvelous in our eyes.”

I am so proud of our entire team of the staff here in Tennessee. Mr. Cain sent Michael Branch our state director a text message after the last event thanking him for such an outstanding couple of days it had been. He was very happy and so were all the national campaign staff that were on the tour. All in all it was a complete success.

One thing I took away from the tour is that Mr. Cain’s message is resonating with Tennesseans. They get it and they are passionate in their support of Mr. Cain. Like I have said before, when you are around Mr. Cain you feel it, you know that there is a great leader and person in your presence. Sounds weird, I know, but if you ever have a chance to meet Mr. Cain in person, please take that opportunity, you will understand what I mean.

Below are several photos from the tour. I will be posting more photos and videos in the coming days, so stay tuned. For more information about Herman Cain and his platform please visit http://www.hermancain.com

Going Viral

I am so humbled with the opportunity to serve the Herman Cain campaign; not only am I able to support a candidate I truly believe in, but I am helping the campaign with the gifts and talents God has given me. Next week I have to honor and privilege to be on the tour bus with Mr. Cain and get some up close footage. He is coming to Tennessee on his Common Sense Solutions Bus Tour, October 14 and 15. In order to promote the tour I have produced several videos. Slowly but surely these videos are going viral, with the first video having close to 800 views in 4 days. If you like what you see share it on your facebook and help support Mr. Cain. If you are interested in more information about Herman Cain and his platform please visit http://www.hermancain.com

Interior Branding

Excited to complete a project that has been over a year the making. Today we completed a interior branding project that including custom printed wallpaper and canvas printed photos. We used a large format digital printer that a fellow co-worker purchased earlier this year and my boss Susan Shafer did research on different types of paper. We did several test prints on the different types of paper and material. The whole time I was very skeptical of what the result would be. Well, it far exceeded all my expectations and extremely satisfied with the results. Below is our finish product!
