Follow Me… On the Trail!

As most of you may know, I am on staff with Tennessee for Herman Cain the state organization of Friends of Herman Cain, Inc. (the national campaign).

This weekend I will be traveling with Mr. Cain as we make our way across Tennessee promoting common sense solutions in his race for President of the United States. I will be doing some field reporting, photos and video as well as event production for each of the tour stops. As we travel I will be tweeting, facebooking and blogging. Home Run! The Use of Compelling Video

Back in June of this year I had the opportunity to attend a website conference for independent schools outside of Hartford, Connecticut. While at the conference I took part in a marketing roundtable. The assistant headmaster of the Delphian School out of Sheridan, Oregon, one of the participating schools, presented a video they produced to promote a marketing campaign for their school. The campaign is entitled “Through The Eyes of Students,” consisting of students using flip cameras to document their school-life experience. The video was well-produced and very compelling. They were able to capitalize on their distinct and unique aspects and show that a Delphian School education is of high value and worth. I am sharing this video because they got right. I am so impressed, not only with the production value, but how they shared their school’s vision and mission. The take away, to me, is so tangible and leaves me wanting to visit right away. When a video evokes this type of feeling and emotion, you have hit a home run! Great job Delphian, thank you for such a compelling video.

On the Campaign Trail

We’re heading full swing into campaign season with the upcoming 2012 Presidential Election. I have always had a foot in the political arena, having served on multiple campaigns. This season I have been privileged to work with the Herman Cain campaign for President. I had the pleasure of meeting Michael Branch the Tennessee State Director of the Herman Cain campaign and we instantly became good friends. He not only has a heart for politics and our country, but has passion for the “church.” Through working with Michael, I have had the opportunity to do some design and video work for the campaign. One of the videos has already gone viral with over 1000 views on YouTube. I am honored by the campaign giving me this opportunity to serve them and my country. Below are several of the pieces I produced for the campaign so far.
